Rubber Heel Tips for Outdoor Events

We want to introduce you to the best invention for outdoor weddings – Rubber heel tips!

One of the biggest challenges we see with outdoor weddings and events (or simply the photo session!) on grass or gravel is when the bride or bridesmaids high heels sink into the ground. It makes it extremely difficult to walk, and if you’ve ever been walking down the aisle for the ceremony afraid of falling, you know exactly what I mean! Wearing flip flops has been the short term fix, but that doesn’t always work during the photo sessions or ceremony, if your dress is short and showing off your shoes. These rubber heel tips allow for long term comfort and stability for all day events, without drawing attention to your feet.

Rubber heel tips for walking on grass or dirt consist of a small piece of rubber that fits on the bottom of the heel tip, that adds a quarter size for much easier balance and walking stability. They can be purchased clear in color to match any shoe and will blend in with the ground so as to not draw attention to it. Also available in black to help fit all shoes.

Recently I had the opportunity to work with the fabulous Shandie from Stewart Photography to get some new headshots. We shot for over an hour and it ended up being more than that — She got to be creative and brought out a side of me that I fell in love with all over again. Every year, we give away a Free Wedding Video package to one lucky couple and we have been extremely overwhelmed with the feedback from this contest! We are thrilled to provide our services for a deserving couple and this year will be no different. There are only a few stipulations:

–The wedding must take place in 2015
–The wedding location can be anywhere in the world, however the client will pay all travel and lodging expenses (if required) for events outside of Lincoln/Omaha city limits

Mary Kay Pink Cadillac Pick Up

One our prior brides had asked if we would like to be a part of capturing the day her and her unit had worked long and hard for — the day she finally got to pick up her FREE Mary Kay Pink Cadillac! It was such an honor to be there and watch as her and her family and everyone in her unit celebrated this achievement with her.

Hopefully you’ve already seen this (since we shared the bajeebas out of it!), but we were so stoked to help Sam Swartz Photography with a promo video! He is one of our favs to work with and we were stoked he chose us to put this together! We got to meet Travis and Morgan Anderson and listen to them talk about their awesome experience working with Sam not only on their wedding day, but also their engagement session and how well they were able to get to know him prior to their wedding. Building that relationship made things much more comfortable and fluent on the day of. One thing couples don’t realize is exactly how MUCH time they are spending with their photographers/videographers on the day of their wedding, so it’s very important to choose someone you mesh with not only as a vendor, but also as a friend. Blush Bridal Boutique Promo | Lincoln, NE

I can’t lie. We COMPLETELY fell in love with Blush Bridal Boutique after we got to see the space and learn how much different they are than any other boutique we’ve been to! Emmy (the owner) is the sweetest thing ever, and her store is a low key alternative to the overwhelming racks of white that are most bridal shops. Her elegant space allows brides to try to different styles and types of dresses in an intimate environment, complete with a couch for your bridesmaids or mother, and a platform with mirrors for you. The other unique feature is that Emmy, a fashion stylist, shows you all the different “looks” you can achieve with the same dress: different shoes, earrings, veils, sashes, necklaces, etc. It’s absolutely a one-of-a-kind experience, and the video below captures it all from a bride-to-be’s perspective!

United Way Helping Hands Auction Recap Video

The United Way Helping Hands Auction held a special place in my heart this year, as I was able to contribute to the planning by being on the live auction committee! This is the 6th year for the auction, which raised over $24,000 to provide diapers, winter coats, and clothing to working families who need assistance. Here is a short recap of the night – we hope you will join us next year and if you attended or donated this year, we can’t thank you enough!

A Wedding Surprise!

We just HAVE to share this funny moment with you, caught on film from one of our weddings last Saturday – The other guys bet this groomsman $20 to jump into the river, fully clothed in his tux, BEFORE they ever got to the reception! The bride was a little distressed in the moment but admits it’s completely hilarious looking back. Check it out for a good laugh!
